M. Rizmin Razik - President

Rizmin started his motorsports journey in 1997 as a founder member of Southern Motor Sports Club. He navigated the pilot car driven by Samin Attanayake during the inaugural Southern Rally in 1997. He later became the most successful Navigator in the country with multiple victories for all the Drivers who paired with him. He won the prestigious SLARDAR 1000 Rally, which was nicknamed as the local Dakar in 2007. He navigated the Negombo Rally in 2002 for a remarkable victory with a solitary debit point at 44 check points on a 700km rally. He has won number of mini rallies and Rally stages with zero debits.

He took part in the very first speed rally in the country in 2002 as a Co-Driver for Samin Attanayake and won the Truck and Jeep event. He moved to the Driving seat in year 2011 and still an active Race Driver. As a Driver he has secured podium places at Katukurunda Circuit meet, Mahagastota Hill Climb and Eliyakanda Hill Climb.

Rizmin is a very senior race official and administrator too. He has served as a SLAS Steward and Club Steward and number of national race meets and he was the Race Director for the very successful Rally Sri Lanka event in year 2016. He has been a race Director and Clerk of the Course at Number of national events. Rizmin served in Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAS), which is the governing board for automobile Sports from 2002 to 2008 and from 2015 to 2017.

He was instrumental in introducing National Championship for motorsports in Sri Lanka in 2004 and drafted the very first championship regulations. He also played a major role in drafting the National Sporting Code (NSC) in 2004 along with late Mr. Ranjit Jinasena, who is a veteran motorsports administrator. Mr. Mahesh Gammampila and Mr. Leslie N. De Silva were the other members of the committee.  Rizmin also headed the Motor Sports Development and Marketing Sub-Committee.

Rizmin is a fellow member of CIMA (UK), MBA from PIM, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, B.Sc. In Physical Science from University of Colombo, Adv. Cert in Marketing from CIM (UK), Executive Education at Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA and Instead, Fontainebleau, France.

He currently serve as the Group CFO for Windforce Group of Companies, which is Sri Lanka’s largest renewable energy company with a market capitalization of LKR30Bn. Windforce has 29 power plants operating in Wind, Hydro and Solar segments in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Uganda and Ukraine. Prior to joining Windforde he served in Africa for seven years and worked as the Area CFO for West and Central Africa area for Maersk Shipping Line and managed a USD400Mn business in Cameroun, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Chad, Central African Republic, Sao Tome and Principe.
